I have experience in product development, research, the health claim and regulatory environment around herbal supplements, and in translating herbal knowledge into commercially relevant communications. I have advised start-ups, B-Corps and large corporations looking to authentically use herbs in products and develop research programmes to support their portfolios.
Currently, I am doing consultancy work with the inspiring science team at Holland and Barrett to develop a research strategy as part of their drive to become completely science-led. I worked for 7 years at Pukka Herbs; project managing research into the health benefits of herbs, supporting sales and marketing teams on product launches, and developing training materials for internal and external use. We launched a white paper in parliament calling for increased awareness of the health benefits of herbs and spices in the diet. I have advised cosmetic and herbal supplement companies on developing effective herbal products, regulatory requirements and accessing product health claims. In 2025 I hosted a series on women’s health for the podcast HerbCast. This was a brilliant experience that enabled me to speak to many inspiring herbalists about how they support women across many life stages.
