Herbal Skincare Workshop

At the Holistic Health Clinic on Beaconsfield Road - from 10am to 4pm on the 8th of October Herbs"

 

Find out about herbs you can use on the skin and internally therapeutically and cosmetically in this one-day workshop. This workshop is ideal for those interested in making their own products and learning more about herbal medicine.

Why buy "off the shelf" products when you can create your own range of creams and salves tailored to your own requirements. All the products used come direct from nature and are free from parabens.

Mix up your own personalised hand or face cream and make your own ointment or lip balm from scratch. We will also be discussing the use of herbal teas to help improve skin conditions and you will be able to try some different teas on the day.

Herbs
All materials and tea/coffee will be supplied.

The course will cover:

  • The structure of skin
  • Nutrients that are important for the skin
  • The external use of herbs
  • Specific herbs for the skin
  • Qualities of different oils and their use in different skin types
  • Personalising a face or hand cream with oils and herbs
  • Making an ointment or lip balm from scratch

You will take home one 60g pot of cream and either a 30g pot of ointment or 2 x 15g lip balms, plus recipes to make more creations at home! Once started you are only limited by your imagination.

You will also have the chance to talk and learn about any specific skin conditions that are of personal interest to you, for example, eczema, psoriasis, acne or dry skin.
