I am a qualified medical herbalist and member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists. I have been interested in health and healing for many years, starting out by studying pharmacology and physiology at University College London, then editing science journals for the pharmaceutical industry. A growing disillusionment with the limitations of conventional medicine for treating many disorders and positive personal experiences with herbs led to me undertaking a BSc in herbal medicine at Middlesex University for which I achieved a First Class Honours and was awarded the Ellis Snitcher prize for Herbal Medicine.
I combine my up-to-date scientific knowledge, and awareness of pharmaceutical drugs (which many people are necessarily taking alongside herbal remedies) with a holistic approach and the powerful yet gentle action of herbs and remedies that have been used in this country for hundreds of years. My aim is to help you take control of your own health and to find ways to maintain health and wellness naturally.
I am currently undertaking a four-year training programme in Endobiogenics, which is a new approach to medicine that focuses on the role of the endocrine (hormone) system in managing the body. It enables much greater understanding of how the body adapts to new situations or stresses and why this can lead to disease and functional disorders. This leads to more accurate assessments of where things might be going wrong in the body and, therefore, more effective treatment.

“whence flow spontaneously the genuine virtues of medicines, diffused universally over the face of the whole earth, where nothing grows in vain”
(preface to Culpepper’s Complete herbal, 1826)
